1. TOYOTA MR2- UNDER $10,000
The Toyota MR2 is a very easy car to maintain aand it has great gas millage. The price range is massive though, and it would be harder to find because they were only manufactured for 4 years.
But the coolest part is you can take a standed model like the one above.
And turn it into this:
2. NISSAN 240x- $5,000
The 240x was first imported to the United States in 1988, following the decomission of the 200x. Not a very popular car at first but now you can get one for very cheap! Including insurance costs.
3. ACURA INTEGRA- $6,000
So far all of our cars are from Japan, this one is no exeption. The Integra has great gas milage: 24mpg city and 30mpg country. The average price is 6 grand but the lowest I found one for was 4k. Costs at the mechanic may run you a hefty bill because parts are so hard to find, but the car is simple enough so that you can pretty much do it on your own
4. FORD SVT COUNTOUR- $3,500
Being the cheapest and only American car on the list, I like to call it "the forgotten preformance car", because its not quite a sports car nor is it a sedan. It may look crapy, but it really isnt!
5. MAZDA MIATA MX5- $8,000
The Miata looks cool, feels cool, and sounds cool! That is until you get flatened by a school bus. The simple fact is that you cant really see the car from a big truck. Its still agood buy because it will get you where you need to go in a stylish and afordable way.
Isnt it a sporty little thing!
